6 Tips for marketing photographs.
- Hire a professional photographer.
- Represent your client base in the photos.
- Take many photos with wide shots and close-ups
- Wear neutral clothing or branding colors.
- Look like you. Avoid excessive make up if you don’t normally wear that.
- Be mindful of the photos and what could be taken out of context.
Barefoot Massage specific photo tips:
- Share photos of the entire process, hands on bars, feet on bodies.
- Do not share photos of your bottom sitting next to your clients head.
- Clean, pedicured feet.
Here are a few additional tips from the students of Center for Barefoot Massage:
From Jamie Pike:
1.I suggest if you have any tattoos that can help “copyright” your work, add them! I have some horse shoes on the top of my feet and any chance I get I use them.
2. Good lighting
3. Set up a camera with a good SD card, record the entire session, piece together a client audio over the snips of video. see home page of Www.bodybalancetherapeuticmassagellc.com for an idea
4.clear background clutter out
5. Shut background doors and windows as these can really over expose pictures on sunny days, open for more light on cloudy days
6. Use filmora to edit videos
From Vanessa Webb:
I would suggest, for barefoot massage especially, quick, short videos just so people get a quick idea of what barefoot massage is (ie: still getting undressed, long, slow strokes like a hands on massage (not “walking” on the back) etc.)
Your photos can be everything and the first introduction to a new client. Make them reflect who you are and what you’re trying to create in the world. I’m sure there are even more I could add to this list but for now, ponder these and if you have more questions, contact me.
