We gathered a week or so ago to discuss pricing and various connection points in the Saint Louis area. Quite a few new people joined us and new-to-massage-therapy also showed up. There seems to be a lot of questions about scope of practice and what is and is not allowed. We also workshopped some ways to approach a boss or manager when the concern of a breech of ethics is in play. How do you ask for clarification? How can you say, ‘no I’m not comfortable with that?’
At Coffee Hour, there is no agenda but we do have a few rules.
- No bad mouthing local businesses.
- You can ask questions without giving away personal/confidential information
- Input is always welcomed but you may ask if the person wants advice or to be heard
- You are also allowed to invite resources or to be witnessed as you share you story or question
